Here are some helpful tips regarding plumbing and drain problems:

• Maintenance of your pipes is a priority that will prevent backups. Install a strainer in the kitchen and bathroom sinks to prevent hair, soap, and other objects from slipping down the drains.
• If you use chemical drain cleaners they can damage your pipes and can be hard on the environment. Use only in a well ventilated room and don't let chemicals come in contact with your skin. The only product we recomend is a natural organic bacterial enzyme cleaner.
• When Hallowen parties are over don't put pumpkin pulp or seeds down the garbage disposal .
• Food particles which remain in your disposal can cause odors. Put lemon peel and ice cubes in the disposal, run it for about 30 seconds, and then run cold water through the disposal.
• Every week or two remove the sink and tub pop-up stoppers and rinse them off.
• Tree root problems in your main sewer pipe could be resolved in two ways: cutting roots out every 12-15 months and maintaining free flow; or doing excavation and fixing damaged spots.
• If you have sludge,greese or even tree roots in your pipes - they could be removed and original flow restored by using high pressure-hydro jetting.
• Have your water bills increased suddenly, but you don't notice any leaky faucets? One of the reasons could be a leaky toilet. Replacing some toilet parts could solve that problem.
• Toilets consume more than 40% percent of your total water usage. Installation of a new toilet flapper and fill valve will keep your toilet runing efficiently.
• Do not flush items that can be placed in a trash container.
• Leaking pipes will most often be discovered by the spreading stain across the celeing, down the wall, or by a puddle on the floor.Once a leaking pipe is suspected immediately shut off the water supply to prevent further damage.
• Unattach your garden hoses before freezing temperatures arrive in the fall.
• Insulate your water pipes that may be exposed to freezing temperatures.
• Don't use a blow torch to thaw frozen pipes; it's too dangerous and will damage your pipes.
